In response to the current spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, Taiwan has imposed a countrywide Level 3 health alert. In order to decrease health risks by going outdoors, the BOFT hereby recommends that applicants make use of online customer services to apply for 3 of the related import/export services. These procedures can be completed at home. They are fast and convenient, while saving you commuting time and money, and helping in the fight against the pandemic.
First, reviews of English names, registration and application for certificates can be completed online, and they can be printed out (website: https://fbfh.trade.gov.tw/fb/web/homef.do).
Second, companies importing and exporting CITES products, or importing Chinese goods that are not on the permit list announced by the BOFT can either upload the documents or mail the documents to the BOFT. The approval documents or CITES permits will be delivered to the applicant by mail (website: https://cfgate.trade.gov.tw/boft_pw/do/Default).
Third, before beginning to relabel the origin of imported goods, companies can download the application from the BOFT website. Please email the application form and import declaration (or simplified import declaration) to the BOFT. The BOFT will then monitor the relabeling process via real time video (website:https://www.trade.gov.tw/Pages/List.aspx?nodeID=992).
During this pandemic, the BOFT is conducting split operations and accepting fewer applications that originally required applicants to complete in the BOFT office. If you encounter any operational issues, please contact the BOFT advisory service line during our working hours.
Please refrain from going outdoors in accordance with the epidemic prevention policy and make more use of the online applications and real time video services. Protect others and yourself!
